Opening night a great success!

The opening night of Sculpture Forbes Competition and the launch of the SDLS trail at Albion 'art' Park was an outstanding success with an estimated 200+ attending.

The weather was kind and there was an exceptional atmosphere of excitement and happiness. The food, wine and coffee were tops and we thank the Vandenberg Hotel, Freshwater Dining and Cannibal Coffee for attending and supporting the function.

Music filled the air and the video 'a la vivid' projection on the massive brick wall owned by Michael Robinson & Co (thanks for the use of the electricity Michael!) was lots of fun and on the request of many was played twice!

The Hon Troy Grant, Minister for Arts and Andrew Gee MP put their heads together and pledged to source funding for the next letter in the amazing project which was very generous and we are thrilled.

The sculptures all looked fantastic and the red 'a' fabricated by Bart at Midpro and coloured by Forbes Powdercoating was a hit with all, including the kids who found it fun to climb through.

Thank you to all the supporters and helpers who made the event an evening to remember.

Thank you David Mackay for all your work (gratis) with photography. A solid two days! xxx
