About the Competition
The Forbes Services Memorial Club (FSMC) has established an annual sculpture competition and exhibition during the month of October. The FSMC and the
Forbes Art Society have joined forces to establish an Acquisition prize for the Somewhere Down the Lachlan Project
Exhibition
Somewhere Down the Lachlan Sculpture (SDLS) Prize is a competition and exhibition of sculptures in the main shopping centre of Forbes for the calendar month of October each year. The sculptures will be displayed in the shop windows with the Acquisition sculpture entries on display in Albion Park and Victoria Park. Each sculpture will be identified by division, artist, name of the sculpture and the purchase price of the item including GST.
Prize money
There are two divisions with prize money to be awarded to the winner of each division:
Acquisition: $20,000

Open: $4,000
